Hi - We’re Emily & Mike and we’re excited to help people reach their Full Potential!

  • I was experimenting with a number of different wellness practices, looking for stress relief and help unlocking more energy and vitality in my life. In the process I stumbled upon the Alexander Technique. I was intrigued that a big part of the work happens in person - what was so unique that I couldn’t learn it from reading or watching a video?

I found AT to be effective and I liked that I was building skills and taking personal responsibility for how I was feeling, becoming more empowered to influence my own well-being.

I trained to become a teacher because I love the work and I want to share its benefits with others.

  • Before I came across the Alexander Technique, I was a music student with a repetitive strain injury (and a tight neck!) who was struggling with whether or not I could continue playing the flute professionally.

Through my studies I had the chance to explore AT and it changed my whole approach to playing the flute. It helped me stop thinking about myself and my playing in pieces and start integrating a sense of my whole body/whole self when performing and moving through daily life.

After I graduated, I started teaching music students of all different skill levels and found that I wanted to share the valuable ideas I’d gleaned from my AT work with them. This propelled me to train to become an AT teacher and it’s been a great adventure exploring this work with my music students and others.
